Yes, that looks like it will work just fine. Nicely done.

And I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets lost in the smalls.......

I'm not telling where I sent this from.......

Well a bunch of smalls can equal a big so here we go....

Done finally with the passenger side exhaust all the way to the bumper, lol I can move the Jeep up and down by pulling on the tail pipe, ordered some 2.5 inch flex pipe since I wasn’t able to get the angles I needed with the original piping to cross over to the drivers side, it’s just gonna have to do til I get ready for paint

Stopped procrastinating on the tank and got it out of the Jeep and am working on removing the fuel pump so my low pressure carter can suck from the tank instead of the high pressure YJ pump, will be saving that one for when I get fuel injection. Also have the two vents on order for the tank so I should be able to install it permanently after this

That exhaust aint that bad.

I once took a large pile of old exhaust pipe and cut out what bends and straights I needed to hang a dual exhaust set up under a 65 Chevy pickup that I'd put a GTO engine in. Just fit it all up, marked how they fit and then brazed them up in the shop with the torch. My old stick welding machine was just blowing holes in the pipe and I had a bunch of brass brazing rod.

Dog ugly but it didn't leak and lasted as long as the truck did.

If you wanna feel better about your setup, I’ll send you a few pics of my exhaust mess.....

Lol I love some 7018 rod that stuff is a beast

I haven’t sat down long enough to master brazing rod yet

I just hate it that I had a well made thick wall aluminized true dual system and I hacked it up to make a single exhaust lol

Now that the pump is bypassed and the pick re installed

Just waiting on brown Santa to hurry the heck up so I can put the tank back in and hook it all up
My YJ tank has 2 vents that go in the top of the tank that he has on his truck somewhere

Man I’m telling ya who ever made my pump did a nice job on the wiring it’s all soldered so I’m not going to disturb it

So is your gas fill on the left side under the plate?

I do think I remember his gas hole being under the flip-up plate.....

Lol you got it, I decided It was way easier to use the YJ stuff as is than try to re invent the wheel

I would have done the same - but a P.O. had already moved mine.....

If I had kept the CJ tank I would have also moved mine, but I wanted an in tank fuel pump when I go fuel injection and I thought the easiest way was a YJ tank

I think if it were me I would put in a fake one so it looks like a CJ from the rear since the YJ one is hidden under the plate.

My personality says this way makes people wonder where it is. Wait - nevermind. Only CJ people would notice, and they would know where it was. Everyone else would be clueless.

I know but my OCD would drive me crazy.

And fill with two nozzles at once.

Possible to spin a YJ tank 180 degrees and use the stock CJ filler location? Would require different hoses, but I wonder.....

It would be cool because you can pull up to a pump on either side. My truck has tanks on both sides and I love it because you can just pull to a pump and not worry what side it is on.
