Well looking at the rear bar to soft top top bow clearance when folding up or down the furthest rear I can go is 4.5 inches from back of bar to tub and about the highest I want to go in the front is 29.5 from bottom of tube to top of wheel well that will put the rear bar close to inline with front bar if I ever get around to installing it

Dude you’re so far ahead of where my build is. I wish I was at the point to making the decisions you have in front of you.

Pardon the stupid question, but is there any chance you have the bows reversed? In the pics it appears your forward bow is taller than your rearward bow..... My feeble minds was thinking the rear bower was taller to reach further back..... been so long since I had to fool with full top bows, I can’t remember. Did the rear bow extend with push button stops? Or am I making all this up???

Nope you can’t reverse them, the front bow is taller than the back bow, it is the only bow attached to the hinge, the rear bow slides up and down on the front bow to tighten the soft top up, it also has 8 snaps on it to keep it located with the soft top so neither can shift

In the picture it’s the front bow not clearing the bar and it is longer than the rear bow

Your bows sound a little different than mine. Also the bows could be switched by a previous owner, not hard to take apart, especially if maybe something happened to original and someone made a new set out of pieces / parts. Both mine are attached together. Not even sure what this 8 snaps are. My back bow has 2 snaps only to keep it in place. My top doesn't have that s bar that is connected to the rod from the front bow to the windshield. My 4 rods are straight as arrows

A little bit at a time, I have the passenger bar trimmed and mocked in place I went ahead and brought it to the top of the main hoop for as much head room as I can get now to make the driver bar match

Lol my wife is already tired of running the little ones to and from the daycare so she wants me to get the Jeep on the road in a hurry so I can pick the kids up from daycare on the way home from work...... sweeeetttt now I’m looking for a local shop I can have do the alignment, brake bleeding and inspection oh ya so I’m still trying to make both rear bars the same length up and down as well as how far back

I doubt anyone would ever notice...... that hasn’t read your post. Sounds like you need to twist the main bar slightly...... that won’t be fun.

Wouldn’t surprise me if those roll bars were welded by hand.

Well I got the ratchet strap out for the driver side to lean it back like the passenger and welded that sucker home, hopefully tomorrow I can get the spreader bar in

I don't think the bows are ment to stay up without the top on. I know mine don't, and no reason to for that matter.
