I just read your entire post, the jeep is lookin good. I really like the rear bumper/tire carrier , Im going to look into that for my jeep when the time comes.

I did clean the shift boot when I got home. It looks brand new now. I just need some shift knobs now.

When are you doing the install? I paid 750 for it complete. I will prob sell the stock 300. I'm pretty fired up about finding it. Saved me money for sure.

I'm not exactly sure. I don't think I'll get it in before Summer. I've got to get the engine in first and some body armor as well. I just have a extra Dana 300 quietly waiting on the bench for that LoMax kit. $750 is a good price for yours. I have to get a rebuild kit and the gears along with the twin stick so I'm going to have some cash in it for sure.

The guy I bought it from said that the gear swap was pretty straight forward. What engine are you putting in the jeep?

Nothing fancy. I grabbed a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l from an 87 Yj and I'm putting a Mc2100 on it along with a D.U.I. Distributer and wires.

That's what I have now. I like the 2100. I got mine off an old mustang. Much better than the carter. The Jeep had a HEI on it when I bought it. It actually runs strong, but it goes through oil and runs on barely any oil pressure. There is a nice blue puff coming from my tail pipe every time I touch the gas. That's the reason for the V8 swap. I didn't want to spend a bunch to rebuild the AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and the 360 was rebuild around 10k miles ago. So, I am taking a chance, but I hope it pays off.

great progress just got through reading your whole build... Also thanks to you I will be picking up that front bumper setup and seats :D

Thanks. I really like the seats. Hard to beat for the price.

Hoping to start the 360 project soon.

You have your own hoist? :notworthy:
LG

I wish! My friends own the shop that installed everything for me. Endangered Species in western MA. They did a great job. I happy I finally had a chance to bring the jeep down so that they could put it in. Now for the 360 project . . .

Great looking Jeep...!!! Who's top is that? I fits nice and tight.

Man that's a sweet Jeep
