Does anyone know where to buy an adapter (reducing bushing) to adapt a 1984 CJ7 temperature sensor to a GM Gen III engine? It appears the busing would be 3/8-in FPT to 5/8-in MPT. Alternatively, does anyone know which year/engine of Jeep used a 5/8 MPT in the temperature sensor?

Have you checked with your local Napa? McMaster Carr might be a place to check too

Yeah, this sounds like something you are going to have to develop on your own. I have heard of guys adding another thermostat that has another hole it it, lastly you might have to tap into the manifold heater hose or one of its fittings.
