I've got an 80 CJ7 with AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l and stock head. After a rebuild I went with an aftermarket 2BBL alum intake (don't recall where I got it; had it for a couple of years) and a new cast iron exhaust manifold.

I've got a vacuum leak at the front the #5 intake port--where there is no bolt to tighten the manifold. Anyone had this issue and have a good fix for it?

More than likely the manifold's surface is not flat. To check this the manifold needs to be off. Then with a straight edge, Like a metal square, check to see if it is flat all the way across. If it isn't, it'll have to be machined. If it is, then you may have tightened the bolts in such a way that it is bending that side. Did you buy this new or used? If used, that may be why it was for sale.
