AMC 258 knocking
Hi I have a CJ7 with a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l AMC i brought this last year as a project and have finally got it going but is has a knocking/tapping noise! Iv had the rocker cover off but all seems good with the push rods and rockers so I did the trick of listening with a screwdriver to work out where it was coming from and it seem to be from the metal plate between the flywheel and the sump! Any ideas what could be causing it? It’s an automatic with the gear shift on the floor not on the column. Thanks and happy Easter
