Good info.! I was unaware that the bearings were different for Superior axles.
It's not just Superior, all 1 piece shafts use a different bearing than the stock 2 piece. Not all 1 piece shafts use the same bearing either (but from my experience, most do).
so since i have the Superior axle, are the new bearings specific to Superior axles only, or can i just buy "bearings for AMC20 ". Because I contacted Moser for bearings and they said that because I don't have a Moser axle he can't help me.
You CANNOT use the stock bearings for the 2 piece shafts. You need bearing for a 1 piece shaft. Most of the 1 piece shafts for CJ AMC20s use a Timken Set 9 bearing. However, the bearing retainer of an off the shelf Set 9 will need to be machined down to fit. Or you can just get a bearing kit for a 1 piece CJ AMC20 .
I do know that some 1 piece shafts use different bearings than the Set 9. For example, early Moser shafts (I don't know what is considered "early") used a sealed ball bearing. I'm not surprised Moser won't help because they have no way of knowing what other manufacturers may have used. But here's a link the Moser instruction that include measurements for the Set 9 shafts you can compare your shafts to:

I've done this with Superior shafts and they were the same, so I used the Moser kit with no issues. But you need to verify what you have first. Another option may be to call Revolution Gear. It's a fairly new company (been around 3 or 4 years I think) that was started by some of the folks (maybe the engineers, I don't remember) from Superior.
