I don’t have a floor compressor, but I have a large, wheeled Dewalt that will run two air tools at once. That’s a lot lower CFM than a spray gun, so I run it to a dryer/filter and then to an 11 gal, portable tank. I can paint for about five minutes till it kicks on and runs, but it never gets low enough to affect the flow.

This is certainly not as ideal as a 50 gal+ pro set up, but it doesn’t take up all that much space, it works, and I can move it outside on a calm day…

I have one of those compressors. Probably 60 -70 years old out of a shop. 50 gallons at least horizontal tank with a 1 hp motor that probably weighs 60 lbs and the double row flywheel is probably weighing 30 lbs and almost instantly turns to speed. Don’t need it anymore really. They don’t make them like that anymore.
