I recently picked up a 83 CJ with the 20 rear, Warn hub/full floater setup and a Auburn LSD. Ive only had the opportunity to drive this CJ three times, the first 2 about 25 miles of street use, today was in a sand wash trying things out. After I hit the sand wash I started to hear some ratcheting sounds from the drivers hub area and some clunking and other noises from what sounded like the pumpkin. Ive never owned anything with what i assume to be a agressive LSD unit and and thinking what Im hearing isnt normal. I ran a few miles of sand and then drove it home some 30 mile back. It makes some similar noises upon turns but nothing like what it was doing in the sand. Ive also noticed on the street upon take off it feels like the rear diff kind of clunks and then lightly tweeks the jeep to the right like it was locked up on decel and unlocking upon take off.

Not really sure how the Auburn works, but you might check the rear wheels for any wobble as the bearings might need tightning up. Btw, Randy's Ring and Pinion has purchased the Warn full floater rights, so you if you have to, contact them for any issues with it.

I'd check the lockout hub, you might have broke it.
