Engine BBD? MC2100? MC2150?

Hi!
I’ve got a CJ7 , AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l /T-5 /Dana 300 . It’s a 1983 model that has NOT been bypassed.

For emissions sake, I can’t bypass it (unless you can pass a sniff test with a bypassed jeep)

I’m curious about swapping a motor craft carb on my jeep, but I’m not sure which MC unit I need. It’s a daily driver in Utah.

So, which one do I go for? What Venturi/jet sizes do I need? Do I go for a “high-altitude” unit, if that exists?

And for those who may be in Utah, did you have luck passing emissions with a bypassed jeep? I can’t play the “register it in the next county over” game.

If you're dead set on staying with a carburetor then you want the MC 2100 with the 1.08 Venturi.

As for the bypass just put a GM hei ignition it will burn hotter and more completely. Shouldn't negatively affect your emissions in any way
