A couple of things I noticed while instaling the supertop on the CJ5 .. My windshield and frame were way too far back and needed shiming. Quite possibly because I didnt replace the bottom rubber windshield gasket. The first page of the best top instructions mention the distance as being 67.5 inches from ur windshield frame to the rear. That is what i came to find out for the upper doors especially, to fit into that spot. It took some files and some home depot insulation on the backside of the frame but i finally came up close to that dimension.Still a hair to go but.. The other thing i noticed was that the new top and all of the components are extreemly close in dimension and quality as my very old top that came with my jeep more than 7 years ago and it was brittle back then. Even the best top tags are in the same place and the metal base holes were in the exact same place. Im never going to be happy with this out sourcing mutiny that seems to be here for now but..
