Bikini Hard top conversion
Yes , I was able to catch two holes that way. And the angle cut is the same as the roll bar , and flush with the edge of the roll bar so its not out there in the wide open. Also I think having the top and the bottom close to the same length looks more evenI like it. Was there a reason you left so much of the lower edge instead of stopping it at the "B pillar? Was it to help secure it on the tub?

It'll definately look better painted. I like it though. I almost regret getting rid of the old one I had laying around. I'll have to play around with the idea , and how I would store it.Seen another fellow CJ owner with a similar idea. Found another top and designed my own. Still need to paint inside and out. Thinking of a soft top and or a rope cage for the rear opening
Awesome!! Never seen anybody do that! I think it's actually better than a bikini top, because the doors and top will protect you from the rain (Mostly). Bikini tops have a massive gap between the doors and top, resulting in the occasional summer thunderstorm soak.
I also like how it looks like you have a Spoiler!
Yes . I could have extended it back farther. I wanted to keep the bottom and the top cut fairly close to the same length. The storage box is a factory AMC CJ original add on feature offered by the dealers. I bought it from a CJ friend.Very cool!
Could you have extended the top back farther or did that seem like the limit of the structure?
Also, that's a cool tool box. Where'd you get it or what is it?
