I'm installing a body lift. Do the spacers take the place of the rubber gromments on the chassis or do the rubber gromments in the chassis stay? Reason I ask is because most of my rubber/washers are ate up. So Iguess I would need to order those too?

Energy suspension makes a nice polyurethane 1" body lift with new mounts. The company may even make a 0" lift kit(you'd have to ask them) but I find 1" lift is nice to have and doesn't adversely affect safety or the "look" of the Jeep. They are of better quality than the competition. They will replace both the top and bottom portion with all new rubber, washers, cups, spacers and bolts. As long as your frame mounts aren't all ate up from rust and your capture nuts in the tub aren't rusted solid, you should be in good shape. Hint: start soaking the bolts and capture nut areas with Pb at least a week in advance so they have a chance to come out without stripping out. have your block of wood and floor jack handy, loosen all the mounts but only remove one "side" at a time on level ground to prevent your tub from shifting.

The body is off already thanks for the tips Rick. I have a 1" body lift sitting here in the box but got to thinking about those rubber bushings in the frame. Mine are all shot.

I would leave that body lift off
I know they are cheap, and get a bit of lift
but in reality they are not a good idea unless you need to gain clearance for drive train. you will gain no articulation room, you will be taking the bolts holding the body on and have them put up with the strain of an extra inch or 2 of leverage. and that is where it hurts. I have seen to many lifted trucks with the body sheared off in in accident that had body lifts. The only Jeep that benefits from a body lift is a TJ, it gets room to shove the drivetrain up above the frame.
CJs do not need this, but if you want to do such, I would suggest cutting off the existing mounts and fabbing ones an inch higher , welding them on and using stock mounting hardware and poly.
