So I am working on the body work and replacing the body mounts with poly mounts. On the rear there are 4 mounts, 2 outboard and 2 inboard. I got the outboard ones out but ran into an issue with the inboard mounts. While trying to loosen the bolts, they would just turn. Initially I thought they were threaded into the support piece behind the rear valance/body panel. We tried lifting the body hoping that while turning the bolt we could get it to come out. That is when we noticed that the body lifted right up and there was a nut but it was under the bushing. I have a photo with the wrench on the nut between the rubber bushing and the rear cross member. Is this normal???
I also noticed that some mounts are installed with the rubber against the body and the fender washer under it. Others the washer is above the bushing. Is there a right or wrong way to install the new mounts? On both front mounts, it has rubber above and below the frame mounting arm rather than just a washer and a nut. The lower rubbers don't look all that bad, should I re-install these?
Last question.....for a while......after counting the remaining mounts in the package, it does not include enough for the grill. Is this normal when ordering a body mount kit? I purchased the Daystar mount kit.
Thanks in advance for your advice.
