But I followed the instructions - wiring

Now I know when it comes to electrical, IT COULD BE ANYTHING!
But this is what I'm working with:
New wiring harness from Walcks
Two new rear light
New turn signal unit
New 12v flasher

I feel as if I followed the instructions properly, as well as, called Walcks on a few questions about instillation.
Turn the key, and mostly everything works.
I have:

Head lights. Left and Right. Work

High beams. Left and. Right. Work

Horn Works

Front blinkers. Left Works
Right. Does not work

Brake light. Left And. Right. Work

Rear blinkers. Right. Works
Left. Works but very dim

Hazards. Front left works
Both rear work

Parking lights. Do not work

Tail lights. Left works
Right does not work

Now I know this is a lot of information that can have hundreds of reason of why they work or why they don't.
I'm just looking for some points/ advice/ trouble shooting, some thing I may have over looked just don't know.

Dim= bad ground in most cases.
Each t'light has it's own gnd.
Test the bulbs with the battery.

I will see what I can do to fix that, maybe run some extra ground wires.
I've read and re read the instructions and I'm sure it is all hooked up corret. So it's got to be one of those simple things that you just say, no, it can't be that.

We will see if that works tomorrow.

Update on the wiring harness,

Got every thing working, thank you LG, it seemed to have been bad grounds.
But only issue is:

When I put the drivers side blinkers on, both rear blinkers want to blink.

Any ideas?

Both blink'n is a wiring issue. Brake lights are routed through the turn signal.

Alright new update.

After hours of making sure all lights were properly grounded and two calls to Walcks. That who made the harness. It was mentioned that the rear lights were brand new. The ones with the metal housing painted black. Well only experience would come to the conclusion that perhaps the paint on the inside where the bulb fits might be preventing it from getting a good ground. Dan Walck suggested that I take a drummal and remove the paint.

BAAZINGA!!!!!

It works all blinkers front and back tail lights work!!!
I am so happy, BUT, only one brake light is working. I have the brake light switch with the two prongs. Does it matter which one the brake light wires plug on too?

Good deal.
Use internal 'star' washers and clearcoat the gnds when done.

Any advice on the brake lights? You mentioned earlier that the brake lights ram through the turn signal, but if my turn signals are now working, shouldn't my brake likes be working as well?

I bought one and the right brake light didn't work but everything else did after checking everything it turned out to be the turn signal switch in the column. Replaced it and it fixed the problem.

Are you referring to the flasher under the dash or the manual turn signal switch?

I was questioning if there is a difference on what brake wire plug connects to what prong on the brake switch that is on the master cylinder?

RJ, no it does not matter what position the wires are on the switch.
I guess you got the part about the brake lights power goes from 12v source /thru the switch when brakes applied /then on to the turn signal switch.So if you don't have L and R brake lights with the T/S switch in nuetral their is a problem in the T/S switch or switch wiring. some times these wiring threads are hard to follow so hang in there. mike s.

Man I hope it isn't an issue with the turn signal switch. It's the original switch and I would like to keep and use it. I ordered a new one months a weeks ago and was disappointed on how cheap it looks. Not to mention, if already taped and tie wrapped the all the connections and would hate to reduce all that.

Before I do anything I'm going to take apart the tail light that the brake light is not working and scuff off more of the paint on the inside that was preventing it from grounding in the first place. Hopefully this may work.

Is the turn signal switch the oem Spartan switch.I have one that had one out put wire not working and I was able to carefully disassemble it and find the problem,repaired and reassemble. Nice to have the oem switch with the cancel wheel on it.Don't want to be that guy driving down the interstate with the left turn going. regards, mike

You know, I'm not sure Mike what the name is. It's black and what I would consider heavy duty compared to the replacement I bought. I'll take a picture of it when I get home in the morning and post. Working nights right now so I didn't have time to work on the brake lights today.
