California Smog!

California Smog!
One more thing... anyone with the AMC 304 have any secrets for getting out the passenger side exhaust bolt at the firewall? Tight fit!
Last one :) ... where to see some pics of how people are running there spark plug wires for a clean look. I broke one of the stock ones and can't find them anywhere!
Don't want to start a new thread.

Yeah that manifold is a pain very tight fit, I think used a swevle socket.

It was much easier when I removed the battery tray! Had to replace it anyway. Question for you JSTAGE or anyone else with the Howell kit, where does the O2 sensor get welded in? 3" from manifold flange... this isn't on the actual manifold is it? It's in the exhaust tubing, right?

With the Howell kit there is a fitting that gets welded into the exaust pipe. Although I am not sure of its location since it is on a v8

I put mine on the passenger side about 6 inches below the manifold flange.

Thank you. According to the CARB EO ref. it's welded 3" below the flange. I was getting confused to the "flange" part. Exhaust pipe is where I was thinking. Not the actual manifold. Thanks for the clarification.
