Hello everyone. This is my first post here on this site so bear with me. I recently bought a 1980 CJ5 Laredo with a GM 151 Iron Duke. Body and undercarriage is in great condition but over the years it has had several modifications to the Engine, specifically the fuel system. One of the previous owners had removed the Rochester 2SE carb and replaced it with a Holley and some fabricated manifold riser to accommodate the throttle cable connection. We are in the final stages of rebuilding/cleaning up the upper part of the engine and trying to put it back mechanically to as close to original as possible. The problem we are running into is the Throttle cable bracket which is bolted to the back of the head looks like it was partially cut to accommodate the Holley carb. We are trying to find an original Throttle cable Bracket assembly to replace it for the Rochester AND an image which will help us understand how it is connected. I have a couple aftermarket manuals, Chilton and Haynes but they do not show anything that helps. My question here is does anyone have images of theirs and/or anyone who can point me to somewhere that might have the parts I am referencing? I have searched google to no avail.
