Actually that place has one heck of a natural wall. Rock, sand and distance make it very difficult to cross. If you don't have water you won't last long out there

Near where we were you could walk across the river. On the other side were a couple Mexicans that would take you across in a canoe and let you ride a donkey into the nearest town for $20. They wouldn't say how much to bring you back.

A great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. There are a couple stores out there that sell about anything you need. Milk was $4.25 a half gallon. They have gass also.

Today we visited Fort Davis. It was quite windy so we didn't walk around much. Ended up in Del Rio for the night.

If I. Would have known you were heading east so fast I would have told you to eat at Don Marcalinos for dinner in Del Rio. Cheap but great Mexican food. We always plan the trip in and out of Del Rio to eat there !

Just have plenty of food and water and fuel and you will be fine. And always go for in the cool season

Visited the USS Lexington in Corpus Christi today. First time on a big navy ship. I knew they were big but didn't know that they were that bi. A person could get lost in there. Also visited the Texas aquarium and watched the dolphins perform. Didn't get any pictures at the aquarium. I forgot my phone in the camper.

Not a lot to write about lately. Have been circling Texas some. Visited a few small local museums and another small fort. Forgot my phone again at the fort so no pictures of that. Also visited a zoo. The oranges are at my door as I sit at my daughter and son in laws place in San Antonio. We'll be here till after Xmas.

San Antonio is a nice place to take a couple of weeks rest. I just picked about AMC 150 oranges from my tree today to squeeze for juice to freeze

Took a trip into San Antonio to the Alamo. Well worth the trip. Especially with daughter driving. Also visited the Ripleys believe it or not. Was less impressed with that. Last but not least, I've heard some good reports about Wataburger so we stopped in. Was impressed with the burgers. Will be going back.

Today was visit the San Antonio river walk day and rode the boat. It's a beutiful ride along the San Antonio river and canals through the city. It's a must do if you're ever in the neighborhood. You don't have to take the boat. There's walkways all along the waterway if you're so inclined.

That's a word I did not know anything about and had to google. . We didn't take the boat ride but did walk the walkway. Very pretty area and well worth the time
