We visited Fort Pickens in Florida today. It's where Geronimo was held and died. Also found a cannon with some Boston stamping on it.

Beautiful area. Did you stay at the campground out on the island ? One hell of a place to watch the Blue Angels do their air show every year. So low over that area that there is video of beach umbrellas getting sucked up into the air as they go over the area. Can't get closer to the show unless you are in the cockpit

Not staying at Campground. I kinda wish we were. We're still at brother-in-laws about 45 minutes away. It was beutiful out there with the white sands and dunes..

You're right bill. I thought that I read on one of the plackards that he died in Florida but the description in the picture I posted says that he died in Ok.

Our extended stay in Alabama is over and we're back on the road again. We had to stay an extra 2 weeks waiting for some income tax stuff. We've been across the panhandle where a bunch of destruction from I believe hurricane Irma. Maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.
