lol you shopping for new boots?
I was surprised at how soft the belly was. I wouldn't mind having a pair.

Brother-in-law and I considered what it would bring at junk price and decided it most likely wasn't worth trying to lug it out of there.

Beautiful area. Did you stay at the campground out on the island ? One hell of a place to watch the Blue Angels do their air show every year. So low over that area that there is video of beach umbrellas getting sucked up into the air as they go over the area. Can't get closer to the show unless you are in the cockpit

Not staying at Campground. I kinda wish we were. We're still at brother-in-laws about 45 minutes away. It was beutiful out there with the white sands and dunes..

Cyrus Alger & Co out of South Boston. The cannons and shells were made at the Alger's Foundry or South Boston Iron company. They supplied both the Army and Navy with a large number of weapons. Thanks for sharing.
I figured if anyone would know about it, you would. A little bit of trivia that makes it more interesting.

Slap on a set of wheels and tow it behind your CJ.

For what it’s worth, Geronimo actually died at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

You're right bill. I thought that I read on one of the plackards that he died in Florida but the description in the picture I posted says that he died in Ok.

You said it when you said the panhandle. :) But then maybe only people in the Southeast would understand that lingo

Texas has a panhandle also but for anyone that's been following me probably knew where I meant.
