Wifey gets upset if I don't use them once in a while.

Meant to tell you the other day - if you had let me know when you heading up 81 by Roanoke I’d have parked on the Hollins overpass and waved, or mooned ya or sumthin. Just a couple miles from the house LOL

And that would surely required brakes for this activity you describe...[emoji1787][emoji33]

It's probably a good thing I didn't let you know. Wifey keeps a camera on her lap most of the time and if she had got the shot, I would have had to post it here. As far as posting where we're going, we don't plan where we're going. Just a general direction. We know that we're heading north from where we are this morning, but have no route plans until just before we get rolling.

We arrived back home late last week and have been without internet service since we hit Maine. since my last post we've visited another cavern and the Penn. railroad museum. Sorry no pictures. their on my phone and I'm not clever enough to get them swapped to my home computer. We had a great time traveling and meeting with some of you. The Colorado meet up will be remembered for the rest of my life. Maybe we can do another trip at a later date. Maybe the Moab trip sometime. We had a great time on our trip but am glad to be back home.

Glad you made it home safe and sound. Your trip was amazing and I appreciate you sharing it with us all!

Glad you made it back, well done. Thanks for entertaining us. Always good to get home also.

A little update on our trip with some facts and figures. We traveled 35,110 miles, used 5,226.7 gallons of gas at a total of $24,366.89. we got an average of 6.7 miles per gallon. Was it worth it? Yup. It was. Met some great people and saw some sights that I'll remember the rest of my life. The plains of the Midwest, the rocky mountains. the north western US, the Pacific ocean, the great redwood forest, the grand canyon, the hoover dam, death valley and so so so much more. we had a grand time most of the time and a few troubles on the way. Two sets of brakes on the rear of the motorhome and one on the front in our travels. they were new when we left home. Four tire blowouts on the road and a complete set of tires on the motorhome and the trailer. We'll never do it again , but are glad we did. We saved and planned for over 25 years to do this but glad it's over. We're glad to be back home.

Hard to believe you put that many miles on in that short of time !

What an adventure!! Most folks only dream of such a trip..... Well done!
