I got my hose and it's on. When I went to change the gear on the dissy I see the new one from Summit only has one hole for the pin. The new pin that came with the gear is the same size as the one that was in it and it fit flush on both sides so it's going to stick out a little bit and I'm afraid it's going to hit the cam gear when I put the dissy in. And if I make it a little smaller I don't know how you would ever get it back out if needed. Has anyone ran into this?
 
Ok so no comments. I was talking to my son about it and he is going to take it to work and see if there machinist will drill out the other side.
 
That is interesting Mtnwhlr, I have purchased a couple of complete distributors from the big box outfits and they had thru holes in them for easy disassembly.
 
My son came home from work today with a gear that looks like it should :banana: and it's on. Getting closer just need a warm day off now to see if I can bring this old girl back to life. :D
 
So it's up and running now I don't have plates for it yet so it's just been trips around the block. Seems to run real good. Checked all the lights and only about half worked so got them fixed. Having a little problem with the wife's blinkers on her Cherokee. Had her start watching the video and she is fairly sharp,and in the first minute 3 times she was questioning the validity of it and straight faced i said yes I thought this was the problem until I couldn't help but burst out laughing
 
Did we ever get pics of this? The 79 I just bought has the Levi (Edition) 's interior but it's pretty shot.

I had pics I was going to post but then the site went haywire to where I couldn't post pics like I have always done. So I'm going to see if my son can take some with his phone and we can post them that way. My interior is the tan color. The back seat is in good shape but one of the fronts in bad shape and the other is fair.
 
I think $500 is a bit high for the engine.
$450 is too high for a long input shaft FSJ T-18 /20 for use in a CJ
$500 for the package would be good. IMO

If you're still looking for a 4.0 I've got an 03 tj with 161k on it. I'm trying to get rid of the motor Transmission and t case. It runs great and is still in the jeep just needs to be pulled. I'm like 8 hours from you though.

I wish I could say yes but I just don't know. I would love to meet all you guys and posi keep on me and I may have to make this happen.:chug:

No thanks, I'm going to see if I can't get my other CJ to pass emissions with all my parts I have laying around and sell it. My son seems to think he would like to have it so we can go 4wheeling together.
