cj motor swap into yj

i am swapping a AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l into a yj the yj has drivers side drop on Transfer Case and my new case is passenger side drop i was wondering if i could spin the Transfer Case to do that i realize that i would have to modify the shifter some how with some fab but wanted to know if this was possible or any other ideas

Are you changing out the original Transmission and Transfer Case ? if not, then you don't have to worry about flipping the Transfer Case . If you are, IMO you might as well stop right now, sell the CJ stuff and find you some YJ stuff to put in there....

Or buy a clocking ring, its worth it to keep the Dana 300 , if that's what you have.
