I replace the Ignition lock on my 1984 CJ7 and noticed the plastic turn signal "apparatus" was cracked where the turn signal lever screws in. Worked fine before.....now the left turn signal lights up but doesn't blink....??!?!?!?!?!

Had a similar issue years ago, new one from Napa solved it ;)

Its great to hear you can still get parts like that from over the counter. I would think that part would also apply to more modern applications though. I once had an issue with my turn signals that was resolved by blowing out the dirt that had collected through that turn signal actuator clearence hole.

Torx, I was surprised they had it in stock myself, but as you say it probably fits another vehicle too

the column is basically a GM column.
and Yes on Napa as well as Oreilly......and I like the term "turn signal actuator clearence hole".

I just replaced mine with one from Carquest. looked like it had been on the shelf since the 80's. The plug was a little different but it was easy to switch the wires out with the old plug. Mine was doing the something as yours. I found that if I signaled right and pushed down on the turn signal lever (like high, low beam on modern cars) then it would work.
