We replaced the 'old rusted' tub on our '86 CJ7 with one from a '91 YJ.
Currently installing tub, and the #2&3 (from the front back) mounts (both sides)do not sit 'tight' on the frame mounts. I am making shims to take up the space, (approx. 1/8 inch)
Question is on the #2 mount is still a 'little' loose, (maybe 1/16 inch), do I need to take up that 1/16 inch gap?? Or is close enough good enough?

Make sure the front fenders are aligned and not part of the problem, if they are mounted. The body and frame do flex quite a bit and are designed to. So it probably does not matter weather or not you install the shim. You might want to do further research just to make sure, like checking for something bent or twisted.
