Interior Clutch / brake pedal rubber pads

The pads have been missing since I bought this CJ5 . I ordered a couple from Crown and I'm pretty disappointed with the fit. I was expecting a little bit of a fight to put them on but they slipped on very easily. It seems like they will slip off pretty easily to unfortunately.

I thought about using some weatherstrip adhesive in the groove before I put them on. Or does anyone know of something better?

I also have found in the past that the Crown pads were loose. They also seem to be made of a different type rubber material. These seem better: eBay link

Of course if you want to spend some money, Lokar's got some nice stuff. Check the 6173's I believe.
