So I'm still having an issue with my clutch not disengaging. 1st is tough w/o double clutching, reverse will spin on me 1/2 the time. I've replaced all of the linkage, except the clutch fork. Now when I rolled under my rig I could wiggle the clutch fork up and down. There is only one spring to return it back into position. When I say up and down, I mean a good inch or so up towards the bottom of the truck and down towards the ground. Thoughts from you CJ Gurus?

I was having issues getting into first while engine was running. After attempting to adjust pivot arm realized that I am missing inner spring and also pivot ball. Realized this because clutch fork was moving way too much one I disconnected outer spring. Pictures may help.

Sounds similar to my issue. I'll add pictures and see what you think.

Yeah for sure. I'll be doing job this weekend putting clutch fork back in, will also take pics and keep you updated on process as well.

:)
Look at a drawing of what you have inside the clutch can.........
Sounds like the fork has come off of the pivot ball or the ball is gone?.........If there is room to see in with a mirror at where the fork exits the bell housing take a look...
The fork is held in place on the ball by a flat metal like spring. I doubt that you can get the fork out of there without first pulling the Transmission ........ Needs to come in from the inside.

I was able to shimmy my clutch for out but I think po may have cut some of the bell housing..

here is my thread I posted:

Hey "75", is your bell housing all broken up around the fork hole? If it is that's not good my friend. Either another bell housing is in your future or a really good aluminum welder. I hope it's just what it looks like in the picture and not really all cracked up.

Yeah learned yest bell housing is broke, which explains why I was able to pull fork completely out. Online today looking for a new one. Looks like my clutch fork project this weekend has now been put on hold :(. Have also learned that my rear driveline is not at the proper angle so have some major work ahead of me. But better to know and fix it right then, either get in an accident or stuck and stranded on a trail.

This should go to your other thread or start a new one.

....................... Edit: never mind I see it.

Sorry, my wife just had our daughter #2 a week early. I will roll under with my iPhone and snap a few pics tomorrow!
