Crank bolt - '69 Dauntless

Does any know if these are RH or LH threads?
I assumed RH (hence counter-clockwise to loosen). No Luck

Second question - is there a trick to breaking them loose.

Trying to change timing gears/chain but can't get the crank bolt off.

They are right hand thread. I usualy use a big hammer to smack the wrench to get it started.

Yup right hand .Use method already noted or 1/2"impact.Maybe some overly efficient person used locktite on it.Hope not. Mike

Broke it loose by laying the breaker bar in the frame and cranking over the engine! Thanks for the info on the thread direction.
