Dana 20 & T150

Yes-But it can be a real PITA.

Thanks. What is the biggest obstacle. I can pull the T-150 if necessary but I am replacing the output shaft seal on it and it seems to be easier to just drop the case

Room to swing a wrench.
Why not just replace all the seals and be done with it?

Your 100 percent right. Whole lot difference doing this at 60 compared to 20 . Thanks again

YUP :D I'll be 66 in March-So I know well of what you speak. :notworthy:
The 'old-arthur' in my right hand, doesn't help either.

Well I got it laying in the floor separated. That output shaft nut is giving me fits. May just put the red wrench on it.

Put it in low-range and mount some type of bar/pipe in the forward yoke. You may well need a 'cheater-bar' for the yoke nut.
Good luck,
LG

Put an old inch drive and got it. Fixing to tackle the lock ring and get inside this thing for a trip down memory lane

Fabricate yourself one of these:

SpannerWrench001.webp

It will make torquing the nut easier (as long as you've got a good size buddy to hold it)....

Great idea Hack.
When I did my first one-I went out and bought a 20" 'Cresent' wrench. LOL

Well I finally found some time to tear the T-150 down. It is pretty well shot.. It has been very hot. Gears, Syncs and sleeves are wore out. Oddly enough mine had no seal at all at the output shaft to the Dana 20 . I have priced gears, syncs and possibly a mainshaft and I think I may be better off just buying another one. Does anyone have any ideas on where to look?
