Can anyone tell me the correct U-Joint for the Dana 30 axle shafts?

I thought I had done my research and ordered two Moog 260 u-Joints as it seemed those were the proper size. That turns out to not be the case and now I am stumped. I have the OEM front diff and axle shafts on my 81 CJ7 as far as I can tell.

Any help is greatly appreciated as my U-joints are starting to give up the ghost.

OEM is Spicer 5-153X
Amazon has'em.

Better double check that
5-260 is the u joint for the axle shafts

You are 100% correct......
It is the Spicer 5-260 for the axles of the Dana 30 .
My deepest apologies for MY error!

Aren't the Moog 260 ad Spicer 5-260 the same size? That is what my research says.

Moog 365 non greasable
Moog 378 greasable

Per the Moog website for Dana 30 axle shafts

Moog website has a vehicle search list function

Hey, not sure where you are with this. I ordered the Moog non-greasable u-joints. Either way, be careful removing the old ones, mine were really frozen in place and took a lot of "persuasion" to remove. Henceforth I bent the shaft ears in a little and had to gingerly expand them to fit the joint.

I also learned a good trick from a great mechanic near me. Once in, if they seem a little tight, give the shaft a good wrap with a dead blow. it was like magic, the joints were smooth as butter after that.

I went with non-greasable as well. Just got them in the mail. Now I am waiting for a warm day to put them in. I ordered new yoke straps with hex head bolts too that I am going to put on at the same time.

Smart move on the yoke straps. I realized after all was said and done that I forgot that and had to halt completion. Doesn’t make sense to do all that work and complete it with old beat up straps.

Yeah, the strap kits from AC Delco were only like $3 a piece so I bought enough to replace the straps on both driveshafts
