Please forgive if this has been covered before, but I haven't been able to definitively determine...are there any differences in the housing of a c-clip vs a non-c-clip axle?

I ask because I was able to score the former (not realizing it was) and aspire to convert it to the latter, if possible

The one I got...which if I'd paid better attention to I would have passed on, btw...

The ends appear to me to be those of a SF c-clip...it's out of an '81 3/4 ton Ford p/u, iirc

Thought I'd go ahead and make a FF out of it...have to shorten it for the spindles anyway
