Has anyone used a new omix-ada replacement bell-housing before? It’s Omix part #16916.01

I need a bell-housing for my T-150 Transmission because of a few stripped holes and I believe the pedestal for the clutch fork ball is wore out/damaged. I know with some omix-ada and/or crown parts the quality just isn’t there but I can’t find any information or reviews on their bell-housing.

If anyone has used one, did you have any alignment problems? Did you check the run out?

Any information is appreciated, thank you CJ community.

I've not used that but I also quit buying anything from them as all their products are complete junk. Buy used or have yours fixed

I understand @Manic Mechanic anomasoty against Omix Ada and I do some what also but their quality has improved.
Unfortunately I have not used a bell housing from them.

That's one company I just can not trust for anything anymore. I've been burned by them too many times. And by a multitude of products. I find it easier to just not buy anything from them period. And I tell all my customers to steer clear at all cost

Well, I decided to go for it and see what happens. I bought one from Vintagejeepparts.com.

It may not be the best decision, but it’s hard to find parts for a CJ where I’m at. The majority of people I’ve seen on marketplace want to sell their parts Jeep whole and I can’t justify paying $1500-$2500 for a rust bucket just to get a bell housing.

What tools do I need to attach a dial indicator to the rear of my engine to check run out?

I’ve got an old T-150 /Dana 20 combo that someone gave me 15 years ago. It’s out in my shed. I looked, I could not remember, but it does not have the bell housing. If you need or want them I’m south of you, and you can have them if needed.

Novak sells bellhousings too. A used one that's reconditioned with an arm, boot, new ball and spring was around $350.

Novak also has a writeup on checking alignment/square/runout. (Link)-> The Novak Guide to Clutches, Linkages & Bellhousings for Jeep® Conversions -<

I couldn’t find a bell housing for the T-150 on their website and i thought i looked all over before hand. I’ll try looking again but i didn’t know buying a reconditioned one was even an option. Thanks!

There was a guy from Novak on this Forum. He goes by NovakConversions. You might try to reach him via PM as a source of info. Use the message envelope symbol at the top right corner of the screen.

Curious did you end up getting a Bell Housing. Looks like you're in Mississippit, but I now have a T-150 bell housing and a T-150 , don't care if I sell 1 or the other separate.

I just had to get an exact bolt pattern for my T-176 , found this because I had an issue with the one i ordered, I got this setup just in case. I had to Helicoil the T-176 one that was exactly like the bell housing of mine that had a crack.

I'm in Texas.

Hey man, i ended up buying an Omix bell housing but haven’t installed it yet. I’m in the process of rebuilding a different T-150 i have now.

Why did you have to helicoil the new one?
Thanks in advance

I should’ve been more clear. I had to heal a coil. The used one I bought online that had the exact same look and was the exact same T 76, which was a touch different than the one with the T-150 that I got it is fine. The one that I used or got used that was the T 76 three of the four bolt holes were stripped the T-150 I have here is not stripped. It’s just a little dirty and I got it as a back up just in case because it came up local With the Transmission T-150 and I figured I’d hold onto them in case somebody else needed them, etc..
