Scary thought, I don't know as I want my Jeep to be smarter than me. Granted it wouldn't take much. Can you imagine telling your Jeep to drive up on some rock in the back country and it won't do it because it's to dangerous. I'm tellin' ya', like the first time your child says, "NO", the day your Jeep can say "NO" our Jeeping experience will be changed fer everrrrrr ,,,,,, wait a minute, weren't we talking about electronic gagetery and adding camera's, sorry once again I digress.......... and there goes the dancing banna again....

I think the camera idea is pretty cool. I can see a use to seeing what kind of hole is on the other side of the rock I'm driving over.

Well of course it's cool. Can't blame anybody for finding them interesting. But wouldn't it sorta feel like cheating?

I'm going to mock this up tomorrow, and see how it responds. it will be an out-of-vehicle mockup, but I want to see if it works as well as modern vehicles. I'll PM you what I come up with.

Also... don't go for the cheap LED lights!!!!! if you're going to build the circuit, then get the LED and customize your light, you're be much happier in the long run.

I googled the el-wire you mentioned and... I can see that working.
I'm really not sure what I'll use yet.

Some bright lights up behind the dashboard would probably shine down and illuminate things pretty well.

I've put together the circuit, just need to finish the jumpers. I got sidetracked before i could finish it the other day. I hope to finish it today. I had to make a couple modifications due to what i had on hand.

1. the "Door" is represented by a momentary switch.
2. I had to take the remote locks out of the equation because i didn't have a means to simulate it.
3. I had to replace the 250k ohm trimmer with a 100k ohm (will add another 150k resistor if needed


Other than that, i've kept things pretty similar. I've decided to actually build a perminent circuit so that if it works, i can install it right away. so its taken me a bit longer than if i had boarded it out.
