- '81 CJ7 4 cyl. S4, d300 soon to be amc360 t18 D300. Restoration.
'08 JK 4" lift, 35" and on and on.
'81 CJ7 . Disc/drum manual. 35" street is the intended usage. I currently have the engine out and easy access to the brake lines. I'm thinking this is a good time to just replace the original lines. No signs of damage. Currently manual brakes. I have a power booster that was part of my CJ purchase.
I figure that a rear drum to disc conversion will be a late rebuild add as it can be done just as easy at this stage as the final stage. My questions are this:
Are the hard lines the same for standard and power? Classic tube shows 2 kits.
Is the master cylinder the same for disc/drum as disc/disc?
Is the master cylinder swappable from the manual to power booster setup?
It would be nice to run power disc/drum to start up with and convert to disc/disc later on. I just want to be flexible. Appreciate the help.
