E-core coil power supply, when used with Duraspark moduale.

No one addresses this question, not even team rush. After swapping in a E-coil whats the point of running a resistor wire?

The resistor wire is there to protect the old oil filled canister style coil from over heating and boiling maybe even starting a fire..
With a high efficiency e coil this is not an issue.

So why leave a power robbing resister in place to reduce coil output?

If i install a Hi 6s msd box which uses the duraspark mod as a trigger along with a e coil they are very specific that the resister has to be by-passed.

Is anybody running with this wire by-passed?

I was on the Pantera site, they run ford motors and duraspark.
So in cali were everything has to run lean, and lean is harder to lite off, the ignition has to be hotter.
That go's for duraspark too. so ford makes a box for Cali #D7a3-12199 uses a low resistance coil and no resister wire, red wire bushings.
