Yes, I admit I screwed up. I started disconnecting everything that was in the way while replacing a cracked exhaust manifold. Normally I'd take a few pictures before tearing things apart so I'd have something to reference when putting it back together, but I didn't this time.

So, if anyone can post some good pictures of a '72 CJ5 's AMC 232 i6 -I6 with the air cleaner housing removed (so I can see the stuff under it) I sure would appreciate it.

I'm mostly looking for details on connections to the carburetor including the brackets that were attached via any exhaust manifold bolts and also how the springs are connected on the carburetor.

I've looked through my Haynes, a CJ5 factory service manual and have done Internet searches and can't find any detailed photos that would help me get this thing back together.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Jeff

Ah....... it's all coming back to me now :D

Thanks for both of these pictures. This helps.

I could still use a few more photos of the AMC 232 i6 I6 engine (vintage 1972) from different angles.

Thanks,
Jeff

I'm still not sure exactly how all the springs and linkages are connected and where all the hoses connect on the Carter carb. I've looked through every Jeep book and old JP magazine I have and also searched the Internet for hours.

A few closeup shots from various angles of a 1972 AMC 232 i6 straight six (that hasn't been modified) with the air filter housing removed showing the exhaust/intake manifolds and the carter one barrel carburetor sure would be helpful. It's supposed to be sunny and in the 50's this weekend. I'd like to finish up the work so my CJ is ready for winter plowing.

Thanks for any help!!

Is anyone able to help? I'm very close to having this baby put back together and just need a few pictures to help finish the job.
