What's the difference between the factory booster on a '82 to '86 CJ vs. pre-'82? All of the major vendors only sell a booster for '82 or newer. Has anyone tried to fit it on earlier years?
My '79 came equipped with a single diaphragm booster. I only want to replace the booster. I don't want to install one of those fat booster conversions that require redoing the brake lines.
I see some single diaphragm kits on eBay that include the bracket and the master cylinder. Has anyone installed those to replace their factory booster? If so, is it plug and play?
