Fill plug seepage

Do you guys/gals use anything on your fill plugs to stop seepage? It's not a lot but I can dry them off and a day later they will be wet again.

Permatex 14 Teflon thread sealant.

Or, plumber's tape. Cleaning the threads helps also.
