I just found this forum recently after getting back into my Jeep. It's a 47 CJ2a with a transplanted Dauntless Buick 225 V6 231 even fire backed by a Turbo 350 automatic and the stock T-18 Transfer Case with Overdrive . While it is an awesome rig for off road use, it's simply too low geared for practical road travel.
So I started looking for something that was still "classic" but still roadworthy, at least to 65mph or so. So today I found and bought it:
1979 CJ5 Golden Eagle . I'll be the third owner and it came with some pretty decent documentation, including this:
I can't wait to start a working restoration on it.
