I think this will be a good thing,I just have to brag about it. A fiberglass windshield that was on an 81 CJ8 .
will need a little patch work and sand paper, the glass it cracked and will need some creativity with one of the hinge bolts, but for $25how could I go wrong? I got a pair of blue visors if anybody needs them (for $25 and shipping:laugh::laugh:). Just goes to show what hard work and clean living will get you.

Keep C-4 away from your hood. Problem solved. God , I thought you were smarter than that. :)
I had no issue with mine, till the hood blew up.

Show of hands, who has a steel windshield that seals? Mine didn’t/doesn’t. But it sure rusted out!! We will just have to see how it bolts up. I figured it was worth a try, it isn’t cherry but for $25 what the hell.

Yup. I will never again use a steel frame on a CJ I intend to keep. Cost be damned, I'll go glass every time!

I had a fiberglass hood also, so a steel frame woulda been bent.
I can fix the frame I have and reuse it but haven't felt the need now that the
jeep is gone.

Geez, I feel a little shamey... I've got two good steel windshields that seal. The third isn't mounted at the moment (undergoing restoration), so I can't talk about it yet...

I'd like to give a 'glass windshield frame a try someday... maybe on the 'glass Jeep I'm restoring. If I find a good deal on one (CANNOT be as good a deal as yours!).
