Fuse panels

Gotta question about fuse panels, I was having issues with my cj cutting in and out, power/no power, turns out I found the lead wire from the ign to the coil in the fuse panel is half broken, is there any way that I can fix this? I can't soldier it cause it's literally right at the plug where they plug in @ the firewall,

Any help would be awesome!!!

If nothing else ,run a new wire from the ign switch to the coil, use an inline fuse in it if desired.

This is going to suck as an answer but here it goes.

If you seperate the 2 sides of the block is it the side that has the male or female sides of the plug?

If its the male side you can remove the connector from the block by inserting a really thin screw driver (flat) into the back of the socket and move the locking clip over to release it. If you look into the back where the wire goes into with a flash light you should be able to see it.

If its a female side same idea but the spade connector has the lock on the top of the connector.. insert screw driver, pry it down and push it out from the front.

that will give you a good idea of where to look for the part that you have to remove and how they lock. They are also the same connectors that were used on your head lights. you can upgrade your current headlights by replacing the thin wires with heavier and still keep the stock housings.

It's the engine side of the fuse panel. Male end I think... Not too sure but as long as I know I can get in there to replace it is fine by me, thanks a lot, spend a year rebuilding this thing and it's the last little issues that take the longest, lol

BTW.. Im sure you could go t othe JY and find any older GM car with that type of block and grab a comparable wire for probably a few dollars if any thing.
