Build Thread Got my jeep today!!!!
Great rig! Can't wait to see the finished cage installed

Thanks on the compliment. I sorta went crazy with the tubing and gussets when I built the cage. :) I went for the cool factor on this one. I'm doing the rear axle swap now.

It's not really up for sale yet. I still have the original 5 wheels and tires. They are like brand new and the spare is brand new.

What are your plans for the wheels? Would you sell?

Nice project. It looks good. You have really done a ton to it!!

Here it sits waiting for the axle fiasco to be over with. Pete, there are your new axles. :) Hopefully old dogs axles are okand I can get them soon.

I know it worked out for me but I wish you wouldve gotten the correct ones from the beginning. Crazy that you have wide tracs stamped as narrow tracs. That is one fine looking Cj though.

By the way you either your tubs bent , my medication is awesome or you need practice taking pics.

:) My camera does that sometimes. I don't know??? No my tub is not bent Thank You very much

I didnt think you missed a spot. :D This was a build that I enjoyed watching. It almost made me paint mine silver. Its also one of the builds that made me decide to grab up straight sheetmetal. Im still trying to figure out how to get the lines right with my flares. I love the Bushwackers but they are a pretty penny. :(

No my tub is not bent Thank You very much

OK lets try this again. The new axles are at the machine shop getting the bearings pressed on. Should be done around noon. I'm getting really tired of looking at my jeep jacked up.

I knicked one of the axles cutting the bearing off. Do yall think this will hurt anything?

rr41,

Nice Job,

What are the fender flares off of and where did you pick them up?

Well I drove it to work and ran a few errands after work today and she did good. I think I can lower the tire pressure since it spins the 35's when they are wet. :) I guess this build is complete. I can't say it's over cause I'll always be tinkering on it. The future holds some flames, more clear, and who knows what else?

Well if you are gonna call it complete, then I sir say Congrats! Take a load off and sit down and bask in the CJ's gleam and glory. Don't forget to have a cold beverage. Now the rest of us are left to finish ours. Enjoy.

Thanks Yall, Ran to target and HAD to take the doors off. Reminded me of my old landcruiser days. This jeep is so much fun! The brake pedal still goes down too far from what I like. I think I'll jack it up again and adjust on them some more. Boy these mufflers are loud too!
