Build Thread Got my jeep today!!!!

Build Thread Got my jeep today!!!!
I took her for the test drive Saturday, Just so happens it was my birthday:). Needless to say I was very pleased. All that I could find wrong was the shifter hole needs to be cut out a little more. It kept popping out of second. I have the 2100 ready to go on but the original carter runs so good right now.

Congrats! if it runs good leave it alone. :chug:

Heck yea, And the lift settled in I guess. There is only about 1/2 of splines showing from the yoke.

Since it's not gonna warm uphere in Texarkana I guess I'll put the hard top on.

Well I have tomorrow off and have a couple of errands to run so I guess its time I put here on the road. It's been four rough months to Transmission for that stock black jeep to what I imagined I wanted. I guess I'll throw a bag of tools and take off! One of the places I have to go is get a tattoo.

I drove her to work today. My god that 4" lift is rough! No leaks under her when I got off. I need to tighten the rear view mirrors up!

Oh ya, they are a bouncy! That CJ looks great!! Looks like you'll be able to join us in Colorado, in August now!

Well after installing the hard top (cause of the cold weather) I found the the roll cage I welded in wouldn't let the windshield frame back far enough. SOoooo I began cutting, grinding, measuring, welding and am redoing the roll cage. I'm gonna go ballistick with it this time. If I gotta go through all the trouble of gutting the jeep it's gonna be sick!!!

While drilling the bolts out of the hardtop the drill bit broke and well....... Ah it's you again Mr Ashley, what is it this time? They did a good job on the stitches.

Back at it again today, stitches and all. Took the top off, got the "mocked up" roll cage out and set on the ground.

Thats an awesome color. What is it called? I may steel it if you dont mind. Maybe I'll use a shade of it. Awesome looking Jeep keep up the good work!

Nice build man. I can't believe its up for sale already! What did you do with the wheels that were on there originally? Did you sell them?

It's not really up for sale yet. I still have the original 5 wheels and tires. They are like brand new and the spare is brand new.

Going thru the front end now. Had to retighten the u-bolts. The spindle joints were shot. Brakes look good. More cleaning and painting :)

The rear axles popped out pretty easily. Now gotta get some bearings installed.

Like the bar, looks good.

I weld in a t-shirt all the time but never shorts and sandals.:eek::eek:

that makes my toes nervous,:censored: just looking at it.
