Help amc 258 4.2 worth

Hi i need a responce fast! I have an good working AMC 258 i6 / 4.2l with 148 000 miles in my 85 that im parting out and a guy wants to come see it this afternoon but im not sure how much its worth. He says its worth 300$ but it seems low.. How much should i ask for it? Thx in advance!

I've seen motors like that go for 250/300 around here.
