thanks for the thorough info mn CJ1 ! that was alot of the input i was looking for. this is going to pretty much end up a ground up build from what i can tell. not the drop in a motor and drive shaft and run it build i was hoping it would be when i first looked at it. so i can take my time, do my research and do this puppy up right. i'm not planning on driving through lakes and rivers but it's nice to just know that the jeep could if i needed it to.

you are welcome....

I understand what to do for waterfording.... but its a lot of work to get ready and then lots of maint after you do it, cross water, almost every time....

MY cj is pretty nice, 35k orginal miles, and I would cry to see water at my hood level.....

Let us know how your work goes.....

NO,

The link was copied ONLY,
the rest was hand typed from my memory.....
Its orginal and factual...

You have my phone number, would be happy to discuss with you....

And by the way, JH, is a friend of mine.... if you think I do not understand this stuff you can ask him... I guess I could conf call him in, JH, also. I guess you want another Pirate 4x4 type of forum....

I guess 20 years in electronics & cable manufacturing and 15 years in process controlls has nothing to do with this type of knowledge.....

Kinda what I figured, why I asked
NOT a good example for the forum, esp for the owner

Then I 100% stand corrected an also apologize, if this your own writing (I admit when I am wrong). I'ts just that you link to so many JH posts that it is difficult to discern your info from his.

JH has helped the Jeep community much, but by linking to his posts so often - you diminish your contributions by diluting your efforts... Maybe be more concise and take credit where you are due?

As for Pirate? Where did that come from?
