I wasn't sure what forum to put this in so I dumped it in the Misc.
I'm trying to get my front axle back together. I have the new bearing races installed in I think the correct locations. At least according to what documentation I can find on part numbers and such they should be correct. I'm a little unsure about the hub seal that goes on up against the spindle. I think I've got it oriented correctly. Assuming I do, should it just be flush with the inside of the hub like in this pic?
Or should it be recessed a bit? If I leave it flush there's a little bit of room between the seal and the bearing.
I can't quite find much info on it and the pictures I took of it when taking it off are covered in so much dark grease that I can't tell what's what.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
