I am torn about my CJ5

I am torn about my CJ5
When i lived down south, one of the guys that used to wheel with us bought a stripped out 5. He basically welded up a full custom fit aluminum box that fit inside the entire body, and put a full lid on it with lift pistons. He also welded up the nose and made a flipper out of it, and welded up a box that fit under it. He just flipped the nose, and had access to the trunk under it. He gave it a pretty sweet paint job too. Aside from it not having seats or a steering wheel, It looked like a plain old 5. I wish I had taken some pictures of it. :(

Hey, just use the nose and have the trunk. that would make for a very short and light little tow behind. Damn good idea. Hell I could even turn the nose around so the lights are facing the back, then I could make the blinker red for stop lights and then use the head light for off road lamps in the dark. The front lip of the frame could be a bike holder. Hmm.

And theres different for sure! Havent seen that angle before. :wtf:

First off...Great looking CJ5 ! Secondly...you will never, ever get over your first love. I read all of the comments on here and I agree with trailering (have been worrying about/investigating that myself). To me (an unqualified me, for sure), the CJ5 is the "coolest", high maintenance girlfriend I've ever had. Yeah, there is a lot of drama, but the things she fires me up about I'm not sure I can live without:D
Good Luck!

My mind has a tendency to do that. I am a plant engineer so my mind is always thinking about upgrades and better solutions for machinery and it just trickles down into my normal-ish life. Go ahead and use it. We can compare notes when they are done. I won't even be starting something like that until my garage upgrades are finished anyways.

Too many ideas and not enough money or time to do them all. Such is life I guess.

Like I said.

Get creative, it's something you do well.
