Engine I left my 83 CJ 7 inline 6 258 sit for a year. Replaced fuel pump. Now holley carb flooding. Stream of fuel up the vent tube. Replaced
Question - I left jeep sitting for a year. After replacing battery no fuel to carb. Replaced full filter, fuel pump. Now turns over briefly then signif I can’t flooding from vent on Holley carb. Checked fuel level in float, changed needle and seat, checked pressure 5-6 psi.. not sure what else to do. Very little experience. Any advice? Thanks
Yes it does have an over flow tube connectedDo you have the overflow tube on the new fuel line/filter to the carb?
Good advice here. Also check the float itself to be sure it still "floats". Years back I had a brass one that developed a pinhole leak and would fill with fuel.First thought was stuck or faulty float. But you said you checked that already. Other thought is the small rubber o-ring where the float valve seats.
