September issue.
My club hosted a rock crawling event and expo last month, this is the 3rd year we've done this. Crawl magazine was there along with Tony Pelligrino (owner of GenRight Offroad). Tony brought up his buggy that he took 2nd place in KOH with this year...what a machine that is!

My 5 minutes of fame came when just as I started my run on the rock course the propane tank I was running decided to go empty on me and I was forced to get out and swap the line to the other tank. Of course John from CRAWL was right there to snap pictures. No point deduction by the way :D

LOL that never fails does it? something always happens when the spotlight is on you! Congrats on the 15 minutes of fame! :)

...And in the back of my mind just before I started my run i knew that tank was low

The beginning of the course had a dirt jump...and I hit it with my foot buried in the throttle. I ran out of propane in mid-air

I did however get a standing ovation from the crowd and the announcer made some silly comment about "stopping mid run to barbecue steaks"

Good deal Jim !! Can`t wait to get the issue.

John Herrick and his crew are GOOD PEOPLE.

So are you gonna move to Hollywood and charge us for reading your posts ?

That is what Travis said after being in the Lucas "On the Edge" coverage of KOH :notworthy: :p

Yes. Big props to John and the crew. Those guys really are great people. They brought the CRAWL Jeep with them and we hit the canyon the next day to do some rockcrawling. The reason they were at the expo this year was to do a feature article on Jerry Duffy's YJ that he built a few years back. Jerry is in our club and he took 1st place at the 2005 TTC in his heavily built Scrambler (Scrambled)

Tony gave rides in his buggy to people in the crowd. That rig just walks through our rock course which was breaking axles all day :notworthy:
He came up last year also and brought his Wrangler which runs an airbag suspension...very impressive and highly effective.

Through my cousin I got to meet Tony and his family last year. Did not get to do any wheeling but as you said "very impressive".

Look out Hollywood
