Hi all,

I'm running an Iron Duke with the (dreaded) SR4 Transmission , 2 barrel Rochester E2SE carb.

It starts up fine and idles fine, but after I take my foot off the gas when it revs down it revs down to a stall.
Wash, rinse, repeat.

I adjusted the idle and it helped a bit but still revs down to a rough sputter until it stalls, or until I give it more gas. Even at that, as soon as I take my foot off the gas it will rev down and stall. As long as I continually give it gas it won't stall.

It's also worth noting that I drove around for an hour or so and everything was fine until this started.

Any ideas?

My first guess would be that an idle solenoid, if you even have one has failed to operate. I would also make sure that you are not low on fuel pressure, it does seem to be some sort of fuel related problem though.

Ck your float level and idle mix.
What kind of vacuum are you pull'n at idle? How steady is it?
Under electrical load(lights on/blower motor on, etc.)whats your idle rpm?
LG

You could also try advancing the timing a little and turn up the idle screw a little.
