I found that page and found the following:

Front T-5 31.75
Front T-176 29.50
Rear T-5 20.80
Rear T-176 22.90

I'm going to order a new Transmission mount, engine mounts, flywheel, clutch, and pilot bushing while I'm in there. More than likely I'll go with a Centerforce and poly bushings so they last. I'm in no hurry to get this done, but these things are adding up quickly!

Oh and thank you for taking a picture in advance.

You don't need a new flywheel, just take it to a machine shop for resurfacing.

If you get a clutch kit then it will come with a pilot bushing, clutch alignment tool and throw-out bearing otherwise you need to order then separate. Good chance the pilot bushing will be wrong and you will have to hunt down the correct one.

Noticed the rust on the input shaft slide/guide. May need to look into how to handle it. Check to see if it's just minor surface rust or is pitted. Don't just start sanding away

Pete, you let me know when you have a good one for sale for $350. I just may be interested. Now isn't a good time but in the not so distant future I'll be in the market for a spare.

Yes, I believe I read the same thing that Torx said. A T4/T5 bellhousing can be drilled to fit a T176. So 2 driveshafts is what would be needed to convert to it.

You missed out, I just had one that i sold to a dude in Delaware for 300 bucks.

Don't preorder your drive shafts. Wait until the transmision/Transfer Case is mounted, then measure the actual distance between as shown in a previous post.

When I got my CJ5 the shafts were completely thrashed and not a standard lenght. I went to a jeep salvage place and got really great shafts for $75 each that were a little longer than needed. A local driveshaft shop cut them down for $100 each. A little expensive, but WAY cheaper than having new shafts built.

(Too late)I'm getting a used stock rear one that'll get me to the axle shop to cut and balance the front.

Thanks for the advice though.

You'll probably be alright with a stock one, How much can they be off....

Just cleaned it up. It's a 177. :chug:

I'm wondering how many are driving around with a 177 thinking they have a 176. Seller for mine thought it was a 176 as well.

My guy thought it was a T-4 till I informed him otherwise. I thought it was a 176 since I thought that was the common one
